Public policy can promote or restrain inequality

 What's News in Inequality

"Columbus City Council approved an ordinance Monday that is designed to crack down on the 'aggressive' panhandlers hunting for handouts on freeway ramps and near ATMs. At the same meeting, the council approved a $4.8 million contract for the reconstruction of a Route 315 interchange near OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital. That is part of an ongoing corporate handout that includes up to $40 million in infrastructure improvements and $6 million in tax incentives for OhioHealth to build its new headquarters nearby."
